Cheesy Chili Noodles One Pot Dinner Idea

Cheese and chili noodles are a casserole dinner that is an easy meal that can be prepared in under 30 minutes! Using many pantry staples, you will quickly dine on the table with this meal!
This easy ground beef recipe puts dinner on the table quickly!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup of salsa
  • 2 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 c. Tablespoon chili seasoning
  • 2 c. 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
  • garnishes, additional cheese, green onion, tortilla strips, hot sauce
  • 1/2 lb elbow pasta or shell pasta
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Add the ground beef to a preheated non-stick skillet. Add the pepper and onion and cook until the ground beef is golden.
  2. Add salsa, tomato sauce, kidney beans and seasonings. Mix well.
  3. Add the pasta and mix well. Make sure all noodles are covered with liquid. If they are not covered, add salsa, tomato sauce or water. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking. Add water as needed to keep the noodles submerged. Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
  4. Add the cheese and mix well. Serve immediately with garnishes.
